
Handmade Savoury & Sweet Proper Pies
We have been making pies for 8 years from our kitchens in converted barns, on a farm set in rural north Bedfordshire. Our founder Enid used traditional recipes some dating back over a hundred years, from her great Grandmothers own recipes. We still follow these methods today.
Handmade Means Handmade
- We cut out all the pastry bases & lids by hand
- The tart based are crimped by hand, as are the pie lids & pasties
- The meat is delivered fresh & raw
- The rabbits are delivered skinned & raw, we cook them & pick off the meat by hand to minimise the possiblity of any bones finding their way into our pies
- The pie filling are put into the pies by hand, the same way you would do if making them at home. We do not inject fillings into our pies
- The sauces & gravy's are all made from scratch we do not use ready made mixes
- Pies are suitable for home freezing and can be frozen for up to 1 year
